On September 7, two longtime and dedicated members of HOME--who genuinely support our mission--brought to my attention that an article published in the last edition of Insight could appear to be a political endorsement.  While that was never our intention, upon closer review of the article, we understand their concern. 

As a civil rights organization, it is appropriate for HOME to advocate for policies and even legislation consistent with our mission.  However, it would never be appropriate to endorse any candidate for public office.  We understand this and want to make it clear to our members and readers that HOME never endorses candidates.  Our intention was only to engage, inform and educate the community about important housing issues. 

Please accept my apology for this confusion.
