HOME's routine
testing revealed that the Oakwood Place apartments failed to
comply with federal accessibility standards. After arguing that they were
not covered by the Fair Housing Act, the complex management learned from
HUD that they were covered by the Act-- and that they were required to
make costly renovations bring the complex into compliance. |
